I have an observation to make--I have been here for quite a while

and read this fairly regularly, but lately when I log on there are postings telling me how we should be acting or that we are acting some way that will reflect in a poor light--and they are always by folks I have never heard of.
Now...don't get me wrong--I have been lectured by the best here, just wondering if this was something new or if I have just missed it?:evilgrin:

12. I am new at posting..but not new at reading DU

I post my own opinions as I understand that is what these postings are for.
Anyone can agree or disagree as they see fit.
I also believe that DU is still growing and that would mean new posters wouldn't it?
If DU is closed to new posters adding their own two cents, please inform us as we don't want to break any rules.
And by the way...for a few years before I joined and for a few years after I joined but before I started posting and still to this day, I have followed DU as I believe this is one of the best sites on the www to find out the truth. I often see the news stories breaking in here long before the main stream media.
I believe it is due to the contributions of ALL that come here. After all, we can all do our own homework to verify things as well.

Apparently some right wing organizations pay people to post RW talking points on left wing websites and they even pay them to call into programs like Thom Hartmann's with their nonsense. What you are describing is a concern troll. I've run across many of them at this and other websites.

And I have seen many disagreements and have engaged in a lot of them.
And frankly this is much adieu about noting in my opinion.
And frankly I think it is helthy...we are not like the freeper that make a post and have all the comments be ditto and rah rah for us.
A lot of this is thought provoking and that is a good thing and shows that we do think, and feel.
