2. Tent city question.. damn. that is a tough one.
I would still like to see some way for these people to get on the food stamp program when they don't have an address but I don't hear anyone talking about it in any serious way

9. But Obama raised a good point.
Homelessness among veterans is growing. The government has done many vets a great, huge disservice in providing basic services once these men and women come home. It's shameful.

14. I was glad he pointed out that homelessness is a problem in "good" economic times too
A problem that was largely ignored until the tent cities started springing up.

He's taken questions from the Moonies, from Fox
Anyone remember Bush focusing in on "hostile" reporters? Me neither.

And the Moonies seem a lot more interested in the ethical considerations of stem cells than the Times ever was in the ethical considerations of pre-emptive wars.

18. "I'm a big believer in persistence"
Wait; I thought Dubya was going to solve the problems between Israel and its neighbors in the last six months of his presidency. The MBA president was going to just whip things into shape between July and December.

"We expect we're going to make steady progress." Compare and contrast, class, the half-assed efforts of the previous administration. The one day economic summit in Waco didn't solve everything? Well, that's all the time and effort Chimpy is going to invest on that.
