S.C. Legislators Unveil “Sanford Clock”

Hours after S.C. Gov. Mark Sanford unveiled a spending clock to track how fast taxpayer dollars disappear in Columbia, state legislators unveiled a “Sanford Clock” to track how much longer they will have to put up with the governor and his publicity stunts.

“Wind that sucker up,” all 170 members of the S.C. General Assembly were quoted as saying, in unison, while setting their wristwatch alarms to coincide with the countdown.

This happened in 2007. It should give you an idea what fun the SC government is. A lot of those 170 members are Republicans.
