How many bat-shit crazy right-wingers will move towards violence with this kind of over-the-top incendiary rhetoric?

It has happened already. Remember that nut-case in Tennessee, where they found right-wing lunatic propaganda such as Sean Hannity's books and such, who shot-up that Universalist Church because they were the hated "liberals"?

1. These so-called "Tea Parties" around the country are openly calling for revolution as well
You don't have to look very far to find rethugs and neocons openly talking about revolution, "taking back" the country, etc. Many of them don't want to wait for Obama's first term to end.

5. And can you imagine if anyone on the left had done this 5 or 6 years ago?

They'd have been hung for treason. Or at least that's what these people would have wanted.

4. Bat shit crazy and dumb as dirt.
The more the Michelle Bachmans of the GOP show their true colors, the more they relegate themselves to the ash heap of history.

9. The crazier they get, the more marginalized they will become.
Which is good politically, but it's scary in a way because the more marginalized they are, the more threatened they will feel and the more dangerous they will become. Fortunately, the vast major won't do more than talk.

10. We need to start reminding people what happened in Rwanda.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rwanda_genocide#Media_Propaganda

We need to know it forwards and backwards and make it the very first thing we say when discussing the GOP-controlled media.

13. They used radio.
People would call in with names and locations of people to target, then the guy on the radio would broadcast it.

I doubt any of it was recorded.

I agree it is worrisome (to say the least).

14. Yes, I've read some about it.
We are not immune here. It is foolish to think we are. (Not saying you think we are, but others who may think we have some special immunity to this kind of madness. We don't.)

15. It's shocking how much we have in common to pre-genocide Rwanda.
Of course, I'm not saying we're exactly the same, but in the propaganda arena, well, let's just say I'm glad we have the secret service and that they do their job.

18. Yup and everyone in America needs to know that.
There were two movies about the genocide that hinted at what talk radio was doing (Hotwl Rwanda and Sometimes in April)

And, one book, Samantha Power's http://powells.com/biblio/1-9780061120145-7">A Problem from Hell: America and the Age of Genocide is supposed to be the definitive book on the subject. She wrote an essay that was published in The Atlantic Monthly called "Bystanders to Genocide".

I'm reading the article now an will get the book soon.

(Oh, here is a link to a Frontline story on Philip Gourevitch, the author of a series published in the New Yorker (which I can't seem to find).

20.  One of the most fascinating things ...
... I've learned about the aftermath of Rwanda's genocide is that the population immediately following it was 70% female (Washington Post)

And yet both movies featured men as the main characters (yes there were women, but they were in supporting roles).

the same was true of Germany after WWII actually. I'm sure most of Europe experienced the same thing since most men went off and died while women stayed behind in most cases due to sexism.
