guess we don't have to guess the politics of the duke basketball coach...stfu and coach, coach.....

And their criticism of President Obama went beyond AIG. "He flies off to Los Angeles tonight to be on the Jay Leno Show," Sen. Jon Kyl said. "My suggestion is that he come back -- since he's taken the full responsibility -- to get his people together and say, 'All right, I want to know exactly what happened? Who did what when? And how are we going to prevent this from ever happening in the future?'"

Sen. Lamar Alexander also picked on Obama's NCAA basketball picks. "He's even found time to fill out his NCAA basketball brackets, which is a healthy thing to do in my opinion. But he picked North Carolina, and he caused the Duke coach, our Olympic coach, Coach K, to say respectfully, 'You might be spending less time on the brackets Mr. President and more time on the economy.' I think that's what we'd like to say, with respect."

1. The President should immediately return to DC because
we all know there are no phones, email devices or other methods of communication in California. :sarcasm:

4. First he's doing too much, now he's not doing enough
Waaah, waaah, waaah.

And what's got to be most galling to Sen. Kyl and Sen. Alexander is that his popularity is still about 50 points higher than theirs. Besides, gentlemen, President Obama has already submitted his plan. It's up to you and your colleagues to do something now. And bitching about inconsequential stuff doesn't constitute doing something.

6. As compared to?
It's not like he went on a hunting trip and shot his friend or something. He just filled out a bracket card, in an attempt to stimulous the commerce that is March Madness.

8. McCain: He’s again running a bracket contest of sorts on his Web site
McCain: He’s again running a bracket contest of sorts on his Web site, as he did last year. Unfortunately, you have to sign up to see his picks. I’ll show you mine if you show me yours — is that a message that goes over well with the conservative side of the party? What it means: I’m a fiery competitor. McCain is putting his knowledge and experience out there against anyone who wants to take up the challenge. What opponents might note: You can’t get in the game unless you agree to play the whole way, by his rules, in advance. This is campaign finance reform? This is open government?

11. OMFG. Never mind that Bush started two wars then took over 400 vacation days!
Edited on Thu Mar-19-09 03:44 PM by Fleshdancer
President Obama spends a day holding town hall meetings in a state that happens to be the 8th largest economy in the WORLD, spends maybe an hour doing the Jay Leno thing, and previously talked with ESPN for less than 20 minutes about basketball. This is what gets Jon Kyl fussy?

What's next? Timing his bathroom breaks? Questioning him on how long it takes to tuck his daughters in bed at night?

12. Who gives a flying fuck
what any disgraced Rushican says?
Obama just laughed them off and pointed out how many things the average American family has to do at the same time. He brought down the house.

13. I don't know what "brackets" are.
And after the vacation time indulged in by their darling George, I think they really need to extend a hand on account of that quicksand they're standing on.

Which is sad because Letterman is so much better than Leno.

21. As opposed to flying to Florida to read "My Pet Goat"?
And then in the wake of the attacks, flying all around the country for the rest of the day like a frightened rabbit?
