3. Sure we know
it was Sen. Dodd - the same one that appears at the top of the AIG donor list. Dots are not very hard to connect here, especially when you throw in the honorable Senator's unusual mortgage arrangements.

17. Not true
Dodd ADDED the amendment to stop bonuses. It was watered down (CHANGED) in committee, but he's getting the blame because it was his amendment. Convenient scapegoat for the Reich.

32. Try the other way around
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ynews/ynews_bs262?sec=topStories&pos=2&asset=TBD&ccode=TBD

Sen. Christopher Dodd (D-Conn.): Billed by Gawker.com as "the senator from AIG," Dodd inserted language into the stimulus package that allowed for the AIG bonuses, weakening an earlier provision by Sen. Olympia Snowe (R-Maine) and Sen. Ron Wyden (D-Ore) that limited bailout recipients' ability to dole out bonuses. His provision included this line: "There is an exception for contractually obligated bonuses agreed on before Feb. 11, 2009."

4. Phil Gramm is gone, so it must be someone else. We need to find out.
And keep the handsome prostitutes who give massages and chocolate on retainer for Snowe and Collins.

5. I hate to say it, but according to a Senator at the hearing today,
one of the main culprits was Chris Dodd.

11. there were no senators at today's hearing Jane
it was a House committee, and I watched the whole thing and it never came up. Nora is going batshit crazy and Chris too but no congressman asked about who took it out of the final bill.

9. It should be easy enough to find out
somebody make a call to Senator Dodd's office and ask him to show up on Hardball today and ask him why it was done and under whose instruction. I have to say after watching the Liddy hearings today I better understand WHY the bonuses were given out-bad word for them. Should be called incentives, which would be closer to what they were. Get the work done, help us save the company and you'll make some money.

18. matthews seemed intent on finding out who put stripped that snowe/wyden thing out
and put in a provision that seemed expressly for the purpose of protecting those bonuses. I keep hearing chris dodd-at least as the guy who wrote the provision that ended up in there. olympia snowe seemed to say that obama didn't like the provision she and wyden put forth. i hope that is not true.

33. If Tweety wanted the truth and he wanted it now instead of playing pundit
all he would have to do is pick up the phone and do half an hour of real reporting instead of bloviating.

He has a million connections on Capitol Hill. The fist-pounding and faux "hardballing" are all so that we'll have to tune in for the rest of the week to watch his farce play out.

7. Just Like We've Asked That The Bonuses Be Given Back Because.....
it is the right thing to do - the person or persons that took this bonus exclusion out of the bill needs to do the right thing and fess up and tell us he/she did it and why? It is the right thing for he/she to do.

We the Amerian People are outraged and we demand to know who took this out.

10. It was changed ...
It was changed in the reconciliation Conference. House, Senate and White House had conferees in attendance.
Dodd wasn't one of them. His $200,000 in donation from AIG mean he has to go anyway.
