6. I think this has more to do with the UN sanctions proposals.

The US and UK want much stiffer sanctions -- that can form the basis for a more 'legitimate' attack.

As it stands, this incident isn't enough, in itself, to form a casus belli that anyone else will accept.

I do not think this was an act of WAR by Iran, they have proof that the Brits were over a mile into Iran territory...if anything, it is an act of WAR by the UK.
