Poll question: How important is it to be fair to Republicans?
I'm talking about rhetorical fairness here; I'm assuming we wouldn't try to defraud our Republican countrymen or anything of that sort. But would we treat them fairly in how we talk about them? Should we?

I'll note, parenthetically, that of course I am aware that treating Democrats fairly seems to be a very low priority for most if not all Republicans.

2. I feel the same about this as I do about our torture stance
You reap what you sew.

We must be ultra cautious about being absolutely fair so they can't come back and point a finger at anything meaningful in the way we've treated them. Oh, they will point the finger regardless, but they will be pointing at nothing unless we give them something to be honestly are rightfully pissed about.

3. on one hand,
I would hate for us to get as low, dirty, unethical, immoral, illegal, criminal, dastardly, evil, petulant, pampered, small-minded, greedy, destructive, brain-dead, insulting, vapid, malicious, malignant, moronic, revolting, spiteful, angry, deceitful and disgusting.

On the other hand, when in a swamp, wrestling the killer croc is the only way out.

4. Fairness would require us
to sink to their level, Go off on wild goose chases, vendettas, and evil rants. I just don't see that happening. I do however see investigations where they are warranted. Too bad PUKES, time for a reconing.

cooperative fairplay.

I'm not inclined to let my guard down until the Republican leadership makes an effort to behave as citizens and not as partisan beasts.

8. I voted attempt to be fair with Republics, that's what Congress is
doing. If you watch C-SPAN, you will understand, HOW and Why this position is working. I have watched Oversight panels and Floor debates where the Republics are complaining about the Majority treatment of the Minority, the Dem. says something to the effect of, well when WE where in the Minority this happened, at least, You get this.

This tactic has helped, because the Dem. will go on to state the Republic treatment of the minority Dems, and the Republics BACK down, because, it's C-SPAN and there are records and watchers who know the facts. I have seen this time and time again!

It takes away from, it's not fair, we are being treated so badly, because the Truth is...... the
Dem's have treated the Republics far better then when the situation was reversed.

10. Typical hero vs. villain story plot
Hero: good, fair, just, moral

Villain: amoral/immoral, announces intended evil plan, uses fear, uncertainty and doubt, twists the aforementioned rules to suit some greedy, selfish purpose.

Sound familiar? Oh, one other thing. The villain's plan always fails.

13. Fairness is crucial to me.
While I hate their views if one needed help and I could provide it I would. If I was in a position of power I'd be as fair as I could to all views.

I do realize some make it harder than others though. :)

15. They need a time out.
After that they get probation. The if they play nice for a few decades we should consider being fair.
