Rental prices in northern NH are down and they are doing month to month
instead of yearly leases. I looked at 5 places today....any of them a good possibility. Rents seem to be running $700 to 800 for 2B/2B.

1. Wow, that really is impressive for a winter resort area
I guess ski business is way, way down and a lot of yuppies have stopped paying on time shares, thus increasing the pool of rentals available.

It's good news for you, but bad news for landlords and banks.

4. Ski business is booming.... BOOMING!
The locals cannot afford the rents, so a really smart realtor we met with today told us she is advising all home owners who want to rent to lower their prices. It's a renters paradise up here right now.

5. Well, there's a difference between day trippers and hotel guests
and the people who do time shares a week at a time in ski season. It's the latter that I'd expect to vanish.

7. Hotels are dying up here
And there is a new Marriot extended stay being built right on route 16 near Staples that will cause even more traffic problems.

17. Ski season is dead here in the southwest
because winter storms have been bypassing the southern Rockies for the last ten weeks. It is DRY.

People who depend on ski tourism are probably going under this year. Lots of galleries in Santa Fe are closing.

We all dread fire season.

2. Do they need a cat vet up there? I am paying $1250 here for a 1BR/1BA.
Sounds tempting. But I'd have to get sweaters.......

and watch caps and studded tires and mittens and gloves and down jackets and a subscription to Netflix and lots of whatever brain numbing chemical you favor.

Did I miss anything, Gray?

9. We used bags of cat litter in the trunk..makes a great "traction-agent"
if you ever got stuck.. and for a cat-vet, that seems appropriate too :)

12. Kit lit is fine for emergency road use, but it's no good for walk ways
and drive ways. Turns to cement when it gets wet.

14. we used it for ballast..never got stuck (luckily)
and then of course when srping came, it was for the litter box :)

we never salted.. (too much nastiness for the yard & run-off)..we just shoveled & slogged through snow :)

18. My FAVORITE website, lol! Cheezburger!!!
I do try to fix kitties. Most the time it works. Sometimes I can't fix them, and on rare occasion I get the funny feeling I made them worse.

20. I have so much respect for kitteh and hot dog fixers
it is such a difficult profession. Their lives are so short, and our love is so great. And too many who have owned me tweak me everyday to remind me how much I miss them.
