So when do you think the welfare queen will be making a comeback?
Edited on Sat Mar-07-09 02:49 PM by AllentownJake
You know because we've spent more money on bailing out the rich bankers in this country than we've ever spent on public assistance. There has got to be a cover up for that and someone to blame who didn't actually cause the problem but can be a good scape goat.

I'm sure we will soon be hearing from Rush, Hannity, McConnell, Cantor, et al..about the scary welfare queen who is taking all our tax dollars.

1. The new welfare queen will be a male...
mid-level bank/brokerage house manager. The upside to this calamity will be the wedge that is driven between the common floor managers of the industry and the power brokers when they discover they are nothing but gussied up blue collar workers tossed onto the dung heap.

7. I don't think she ever left. All those food stampers have been buying shrimp & lobster
all along, according to the checkout warriors. :eyes:

8. Half the check out workers are on food stamps
Most companies do all they can to prevent a worker from hitting 40 hours so they can not offer benefits, fight tooth and nail to prevent unions, and pay a substandard wage.

If you think about it the government is subsidizing Wal-Mart and most of the big grocery chains because if those benefits weren't there no one could afford to work for them.

9. Wal-Mart instructs and assists their employees in filling out and filing the damn forms
Wal-Mart receives $2,103 annually per employee for food stamps, school lunches, medicaid, assisted housing, and low-income energy assistance. Each year taxpayers pay more than $3 billion in total just to subsidize Wal-Mart's employees, because over 80% of them live below the poverty line. Wal-Mart knows this, and even takes each new employee through the different social programs when they are hired. This is just one way in which we pay "back-end taxes" for Wal-Mart's signature low, low prices.

11. My thoughts, exactly! Who knew she was gone?
How many times WILL we hear the checkout stories in our lifetime? You'd think people would mind their own business so well they wouldn't know if the people around them were using food stamps or not.

Spying on others in the grocery store is simply wrong. You'd think they would have been raised to respect other people's privacy.
