Appropriate Punishment for Bank CEOs et al?
The old adage may be "Let the punishment fit the crime," However, given the heinousness of what the bank CEOs and the likes of Bernie Madoff have done how should they be punished?:dilemma:

1. Is it just bank CEO's though?
One has to wonder which politicians received favors along the way from the banking establishment. There is information now that JP Morgan used methods allowed by AIG to place counterparty activity against Citi, BAnk of America and AIG itself.

Spitzer was thrown to the wolves, but Hillary CLinton received favorable press from the M$M all through 2008. And of course, there has been no more visible recipient of favorable press coverage than George W Bush, who seemed to escape any and all media dings for all of his failures. The more he failed, the more it was swept under the rug.

3. You reminded me of an old "National Lampoon" bit
that described denominational Hells, the idea that a personal Hell would be fashioned for members of various religions for committing that religion's sins. For instance, there was a Catholic Hell for masturbators where some damned soul was lamenting that even worse than the flames was the knowledge that he would never see the "Beatific Vision", in other words, the face of his imaginary skyfather.

For Presbyterians, it would be eternity in a fancy restaurant where all of the waiters perpetually ignored them. And the sin? Eating dinner with the salad fork!

6. Sieze all their assets and give them sentences similar to those of street dealers.
More than likely their crimes have had a more destructive effect on society.

Except make it like the scene in the movie Dogma where the executives' crimes and perversions were exposed and then Loki executed them. "Don't run...DON'T RUN!!!!" I love it

16. If duly convicted in a court of law, they should be awarded
what ever punishment the law specifies for the crime they are convicted of. Nothing more, Nothing less.
