and the little theme song followed right behind.
That's one of the programs I have on my iPod for my daily bus commute. (Also This American Life, Vinyl Cafe, Selected Shorts, & The Moth...all free on iTunes!)

| 8. I don't like that program at all. |
|
It takes really important issues and makes light of them, diminishing their relevancy. Relegating them to the "Well, that's the way things have always been. What are you gonna do? I guess all you can do is sit back and laugh. HaHaHaHaHa!" dust bind of history.
Now here comes the predictable slew of "Lighten up, Francis" responses.

| 9. BBC radio used to have two programs I loved |
|
My Word, and My Music. They were the smartest, wittiest half hours of radio time. Same concept as What What -- a live audience, questions, clever people, good pace.
I don't often get to listen to radio any more. A shame. I love it.

http://www.npr.org/templates/rundowns/rundown.php?prgId... They have an on-line quiz for those of us who think we're well-informed. Always, I turn out to be not nearly as well-informed as I thought I was.
