video news release - its a way for corperate masters to sell their wares within the news, as news.
I stopped watching MSM news quite a while ago, hell, there's no news on it anymore, just propoganda and VNR's. I probably won't watch another broadcast unless the Sherman anti-trust act is re-enacted.

I think all news broadcasts now are held under their respective company's "entertainment divisions". Any semblence of 'news coverage' went out the window 20 years ago.
