If you don't plan on retiring for 5 years or more, you may want to keep up the contributions.

If you are unemployed and have to crack open your IRA to survive, you will at least be in a lower tax bracket.

The problem is, the financial experts have been proven wrong over & over again. I think we're in uncharted waters here & there's no guarantee that things will ever be the way they were before.

Buy low, sell high is the ONLY way you make money in stocks.

And as you said, if you're retiring in more than five years, now's a great time to contribute. If you're retiring sooner than that, you probably shouldn't be in the market right now.

And don't forget to DIVERSIFY. That's the only way you survive market fluctuations.
