What do you think about somebody like this?

Claims that there is some kind of cosmic connection between humans and dolphins and that they are some kind of "alien brothers"(my words). I used to think that such people were generally harmless, but she seems no better than a snake oil salesmen. She tries to wrap herself in legitimacy but really all she's doing is trying to make a buck. It's also very dangerous, for Ba'al's sake, she is taking people out to remote Pacific Islands and having them swim with Humpback Whales. She also claims to have encounters with a Bigfoot peoples, Bigfeet? Out and out I think the woman is completely full of shit and a liar. She takes people out swimming with dolphins, I've swam with dolphins, it's pretty cool, she is completely exploiting that excitement factor, it's also against U.S. law to exploit and approach wild marine mammals.

Dolphins are very intelligent beings; and I can imagine that swimming with them could be a very enjoyable experience. In general, people benefit from social contact with other animals.

However, it sounds as though your acquaintance is acting like a salesperson for a quasi-religious cult; and that she is exploiting both the humans and the animals.
