Andrea Mitchel sez that there's a big split in the Democratic Party over the Iraq war.
Skidmore sez that there is a fine bit of smart political theater going on with the President as good cop and Pelosi as bad cop. If the Rs can be seen as being against Pelosi then it will be alright to support the President's policy on withdrawal from Iraq.

5. Bullshit. There was a 100 times more Rick Warren passion than this small change in Iraq withdrawal.
Unlike Republicans, we are smart enough to realize that this wasn't going to be easy.

8. If she had watched Dennis Kucinich on her own network
She would realize that even the most progressive folks in the caucus are, in many ways, willing to give Obama the benefit of the doubt on this.

9. There has been since 2002, Scoop
The major difference now, though, is that it will be responsible, thoughtful Democrats rather than power-crazed Republicans setting the policy. Which is probably what scares Mrs. Greenspan most of all.

12. Irreparable damage, I think. Torn asunder.
We are now dead as a party. Oh well, I guess Obama should just resign and let McCain take over.
