Market down 50 pts per minute at the opening
The first two minutes were like that dropping elevator ride at the amusement park.

Drrrrroooooooooooooooooooooooooop

Holding pretty steady at that level now, though.

9. Not taking profits, minimizing losses.
We're due for an up day. Unfortunately, we're not going to see a quick path to the bottom.

6. Not really - here's what they are reacting to - the revision of 4th QTR GDP
The numbers were horrible before, but this is a big downwards revision. http://www.nytimes.com/2009/02/28/business/economy/28econ.html?_r=1&hp

The scary thing is remembering that many companies opted to close stores or their entire business "after Christmas" - pre-Christmas is the big sales time of most consumer companies. 1st QTR 2009 results are likely to be negative as well.
