You need to watch these videos.

I've just finished "The Great Depression Part 1". Unemployed Ford workers were killed in the streets during the 1931 demonstration against Ford Motor Company. The thug Henry Kissinger is next for me to watch. All you have to do for these free documentaries is to give them a password, username, and email address.

I stumbled upon this site looking for info to give an idiot relative - he believes the revisionist history that FDR started The Great Depression, and the repukes such as Hoover only created a minor recession. The videos are long, but the video quality is quite good for this old footage.

Description: Based on the Christopher Hitchens book, this film might more accurately be entitled "The Crimes of Henry Kissinger" as it lays out evidence that Mr. Kissinger not only did not deserve his Nobel Peace Prize, but likely should be tried in international court for crimes against humanity for his role in Vietnamese, Cambodian, Chilean, and Indonesian atrocities. There is much fascinating history in this film.

Edit to add: Sounds like Johnny Hartman singing at the intro of this film.

2. Enjoy. In The Great Depression Part 1, they mention that Hoover tried "Trickle Down Economics"
to solve the economic problems. He gave a fortune in government money to the rich and famous but couldn't understand why it didn't work. Same ole' shit that's going on today. History just repeating itself again thanks to the brilliant repukes.

5. I agree with others here. This is an EXCELLENT source, and one I was totally unaware of until now.
So far, all I could find was parts 2~5 at here: http://www.documentary-film.net/search/user-account.php?op=SeeVideo&ref=167 I imagine a little further digging will locate part 1. And in the process, I'll no doubt find many other jewels.

8. I FINALLY spotted part 1!
It's here: http://www.documentary-film.net/search/search-videos.php?op=search&showold=yes&page=3&Type=&Genre= (near the bottom).

It's a little maddening that such a site has no proper search function. Perhaps it's a British approach to "Character Building" (ie: "no pain, no gain"), but no matter. It's such a GREAT site, that I can easily excuse such trifling eccentricities. I'll cheerfully pay a reasonable fee for such web sources. But if the charge is ZERO, I'll pay that with even greater cheer!

10. Matewan (sp) WV is another "Ford" example
The president actually ordered in armed troops to support the coal mine, and the mine even went further by hiring wells fargo mercenaries. There was a shoot out in the street that killed lots of people after the company men blew up houses and committed other terrorist attacks on the citizenry.

Just think of how Texas oil companies behave. Fuck, entire wars are taxpayer funded in support of their business intrests.

13. The ones I've watched are good
and I plan to watch a few more tonight. These are much better than the short 5-10 minute clips you find on YouTube.
