I am so glad that I didn't miss the Valentine fundraiser

I have been working up in Fairfax, Virginia and don't have much computer time. I kept checking all week to see if it had started. What a nice surprise when I logged on today to see that it was in progress.

I just love this fundraiser and would have hated to miss it.

Speaking of the Northern Virginia area, they do not seem to be have any recession problems in this area. I am staying in Manassas Virginia while I am working here and every store parking lot is packed. Restaurants are always busy with a short wait. Stores have help wanted signs. Construction sites have help wanted signs. Metro Busses have help wanted signs on them. Homeland Security has a big ad in the Classifieds in todays paper for IT cyber workers.

Is this normal for this area? I haven't worked in Virginia for a few years, but all seems well here?

I love it up here, slowly but surely, I am finding my way back home. Originally from NY.
