7. Probably what she'll do with the money
Already planning on using student loans, the grandmother, California Tax Dollars and the CalState University Child Care services to take care of her kids so what does she need the money for but cadillacs and fur coats?

21. I'm sure they are cringing when they heard that
I think it's great that Universities have daycare available for moms who attend classes. But these daycares are not fulltime facilities but more along the line of a place to keep your kids a few hours while you take your classes. Many work places have similar type features.

So yeah dropping off 8 kids, well hell she probably will have to drop of about 10-12 and a few of those special needs. I'm sure the folks at CalState will not be happy with that.

8 newborns are at least 2 or more fulltime daycare jobs.

11. Do you have no thoughts about
any notion of responsibility here? Correct if I am wrong, no husband, no job and intentionally having more mouths to feed. Single, unemployed, 14 kids and I'm supposed to pony up?

12. Get on the phone to John LaBruzzo, maybe we won't have to "pony up" for such people in Louisiana.
Edited on Thu Feb-12-09 05:44 PM by RB TexLa

Maybe he could name the sterilization bill for food stamp recipients after this woman.

14. John Labruzzo
is a knucklehead. If this lady shows (showed) visible means that she could support 14 kids then good for her. I don't want her to be Labruzzoed, just a modicum of common sense on her part. And in your spirit of acceptance are you feeding 14 mouths tonight? I guess I'll just go out and mortgage my ass to the hilt. Whether I can afford such action is totally irrelevant. Right??

13. Give the money to a trust fund for her 14 children! Their the ones in need of a future!
What a shame this woman only thought of her "needs". I think she is mentally deranged and find this tragic for the future of her family. Her poor mother has tried her best to be their for her daughter and her grandchildren. Where will Ms. Suleman go to find a home big enough for 14 children? Why wasn't she asking these questions before she had the children? I heard her "boyfriend" father of the 14 had asked her to marry him and she refused according to the Grandmother. OK - fine - but why would you want 14 children to raise with an elderly mother and father and no one else at home to help out? Makes no sense to me and I raised 5 children and have nothing at all against a large family!

people who have doctors perform reproductive procedures on them if she better fit the part of Reagan's "Welfare Queen."

provide for them, then they are saying there should be a minimum income per child that a poor person wants to have. And since this woman's children and reproductive procedures are the public's business since she will get tax dollars then all other women who get tax dollars for something should expect the same public scrutiny.

Edited to add: I'm sure they will say that it only applies to women on public aid that have 14, or 10, or 8, or 6 children.

31. nope, there is a difference between people making a mistake and some asshole
intentionally having a bunch of kids they could not afford. and any money they did have such as from some disability they use on plastic surgery rather than taking care of the kids.

i may not believe in legislating but i certainly wont celebrate people like Suleman. i even make fun of the Duggars and they have money with the tv show now.

27. I got that & attempted to play it against my own uh, misgivings
about Ms. Suleman's motives for popping out 8 younguns.

I'm not into using babies as props to advance one's bank account and ego, and I accuse Ms. Suleman of doing just that.

If you can persuade her into therapy, it would be good for everyone involved.
