Let's play: "My Senators Are Worse Than Yours!"
Edited on Wed Feb-11-09 12:24 PM by dem629
Who wants to challenge me in this game? I'm from South Carolina and my Senators are Lindsey Graham and Jim DeMint.

Should I (and other SC DU'ers) just declare victory in this competition? :)

EDIT: It looks like OK and GA are in the mix here.

Only after he finishes turning the state into a medieval fiefdom. He's close.

As for President, he can try, and just might. I hope they decide it with a cage match.
Palin has my bet.

Which is: nothing good.

And they'll be ready, after McCain, to move to the far, far, whacko right. Sanford will be a contender, I think.

54. Sanford for VP maybe?
Yeah, I know prediction is a mug's game, but I've a horrible feeling that Palin will win the GOP nom in 2012. She purty, a-hyuck. However, I don't think she has the smarts to comprehend the wisdom of balancing the ticket, and will pick a far-right wacko like herself as her VP candidate, which gives Sanford a shot. I almost hope I'm right, since it would give Obama an easy victory. All he has to do is show the nation what Sanford-Hoover has done to South Carolina and ask "do you really want the whole country to end up like that"? Freepers will answer "yes" of course, but they don't call the shots any more, if they ever did.

But I think the Sooner State Shitheel Twins have you beat, sorry to say.

But we do have Sherrod Brown. Most of you don't know him, but I wish there were 49 more Senators just like him.

Edited on Wed Feb-11-09 01:33 PM by kenny blankenship
whenever Shameless and Sacklessone appear in a news story, I've learned that I must look away. My memory represses the specific things that I hear that they've done. I've found that I can't change them, because you can't change Georgia, so to cope I have to try and forget how bad they are.

I loathe them but I am always putting out of my mind the reasons why.

I think it's possible Shameless and SacklessOne keep a lower profile than a lot of other equally red-tater senators. I'm always hearing about Inhole and Korn-in much more frequently than my own senators.

35. Enzi and Barrasso WY are the worst
Because they represent the smallest state population in the country, therefore their votes are weighted most heavily, proportionally speaking.

I faxed them that their votes on the Recovery Pkg should apply to Wyoming and Wyoming alone. If they don't want the stimulus for Wyoming - then fine - opt out for Wyoming. That's a "cut" Indiana, Ohio and other hurting places etc could heartily approve of.

Think that will ever happen? Nope - they'll continue to spread vile lies about "socialism" and to vote as extreme right wingers - but they'll make sure Wyoming gets the money that they voted against.

Bat shit crazy Coburn thinks there's something in the water in southeastern Oklahoma that is making young girls into lesbians. He doesn't want them going to the rest room more than one at a time because of this.

Inhofe denies that climate change is an issue, despite all the facts proving otherwise.

Really, you've got it good in comparison.

62. I live in Texas, but Jim Inhofe is dumber than a sack of hammers
It's pretty hard to compete with that.

63. You win, although not overwhelmingly.
Here in Florida, we've got Bill Nelson, who is hit and miss, but at least he's a Democrat and you can count on him some of the time, if not all of the time. We've also got Mel Martinez, who is retiring and hopefully will be replaced by a good Democrat, God-willing.

71. Not the worst, but annoying. Mark Udall & Michael Bennet of CO.
They're both Blue Dogs, so we have to constantly keep the whip on them to get them to behave - they're part of the Gang of 18 (I think it's 18 now) that watered down the stimulus bill in the Senate.

79. RI has 2 very good Senators
But, I think MA has 2 excellent Senators. And MA has excellent House representation as well.

Hmmmm, maybe we should both count our blessings and think about helping CT and NH out in the next Senatorial elections.

and none too bright. Fortunately Claire McCaskill more than balances him out...so I guess MO isn't even in the running.

101. Kentucky
First up, our junior (HA!) senator (junior to Lazarus maybe) Jim Bunning. This guy is so senile that I'd be willing to bet that if he showed up on the senate floor with his underwear on the outside of his suit, the other senators wouldn't bat an eyelash.
Last, and certainly least, we have Mitch "Little Bitch" McConnell, minority leader (but still a MAJOR asshole in our hearts) AKA The King of the Dipshits AKA The Chinless Weasel.
