Sunday News Shows
Edited on Sat Jan-24-09 08:30 PM by cal04
ABC's "This Week" -- House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is our headliner this Sunday morning on "This Week with George Stephanopoulos."
Then, the 'This Week' Roundtable -- Former CEO of Hewlett-Packard Carly Fiorina, ABC's George Will, Sam Donaldson, Cokie Roberts, and the New York Times' Paul Krugman -- with analysis on the stimulus package, the banking crisis, the inauguration and Obama's first week in the White House, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's first days on the job, and Caroline Kennedy's senate bid withdrawal.

CBS' "Face the Nation" -- Vice President Joe Biden.

NBC's "Meet the Press" -- National Economic Director Lawrence Summers; Rep. John Boehner, R-Ohio.
Lawrence Summers joins us to discuss the nation's economic crisis. Then, the GOP response to House Democrats' $825 billion economic stimulus plan and Pres. Obama's order to close the Guantanamo prison camp from Republican Leader Rep. John Boehner (R-OH). Plus, how has the Obama administration fared in its first few days? Our roundtable weighs in: The New York Times' Tom Friedman, The Weekly Standard's Stephen Hayes, and NPR's Michele Norris.

CNN's "State of the Union" -- David Plouffe, Obama presidential campaign manager; New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg; Sens. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., and Kent Conrad, D-N.D.; Rep. Mike Pence, R-Ind.; Doug Feith, former undersecretary of defense; Charles Swift, former naval defense attorney.

"Fox News Sunday" -- Sens. John McCain, R-Ariz., and Charles Schumer, D-N.Y.
With President Obama's transition complete, many now believe the former Republican presidential nominee will serve as a key congressional ally to the White House. We'll ask Senator McCain about how big a player he plans to be with the new administration, but also discuss the future of the GOP, the proposed economic stimulus and what to do about the terrorist detainees being held at Guantanamo Bay. We'll get answers to those questions and more when we sit down with Senator John McCain only on "FOX News Sunday."

Then, what are congressional Democrats doing to fix the economy? The Senate Finance Committee released a $275 billion tax plan that largely tracks the priorities of President Obama and House Democratic leaders, attached to $180 billion in proposed spending for health, unemployment benefits and other programs. But will they make good on their promise to work with the GOP? We'll ask top Democrat Senator Charles Schumer.

4. Plus Krugman, who says little, and seems polarizing while doing it.
Let's see if the Will confab will pay off this week.

6. MTP should be a hoot.
"The terra-ists will be on every doorstep in Amur'ka the second Gitmo closes. Be afraid!" or "AQ's massive navy is going to sail up the Mississippi, to your hometown, rape and murder your children, wife, husband, mother, father, BF, GF, cat and hamster (dogs are dirty and low) then break their compatriots out of the local jail to rape, murder and pillage across the land in ever increasing numbers. Then they're going to convert all the little children to Islam."

Between Boner and Kkkarl's favorite fly boy, it should be hysterical. Here's hoping Boner's getting good and drunk right now so he'll be his usual addled, sobbing mess of a self tomorrow.
