1. I don't see why he has to cater at all to what Republicans want.

5. I agree with you there.
He gives up some of his principles by trying to pull in vast numbers of Republican legislators. If he can get what he wants with the support of 8 or 10 Republicans, why does he feel like he needs to compromise to get 30?

2. A most impressive start!
He has exceeded my expectations, so far. He has set the bar very high, and I trust he has much, much more in store.

3. Let's be real. This is his 4th full day and already we are grading him?
This is really, really hard to understand.

4. On the economy, an F. On everything else, an A.
Unfortunately, in 6 months only that first grade will matter.

7. Better than I expected in some areas. Not so hot in others.
His cabinet appointments are not surprising but still disappointing.

Closing Guantanamo and ending the "Gag rule" are great and unexpectedly swift.

FOUR days ago Barack Obama was inaugurated, and some of you, after eight years of the little jug-eared fuck, have the never to criticize him?

DU, not for the sane any more.

16. Rachel Maddow said on her show last night
that Pres. Obama did not give the go-ahead for those missiles. It was auto-protocol, still a leftover part of the Bush Administration's Pentagon' "war on terror".

Now that he knows about it, he'll deservedly get the blame, as current CiC, if he doesn't instruct the Pentagon to stop that protocol until further review, I believe.

18. Yes. He can tell Gates and the CIA to put a lid on it.
No more independent decisions or they will find themselves out the door.

11. He took the oath of office FOUR DAYS ago
I'm gonna give the man a little time to get settled in and get his Cabinet in place before I even think about doing any "grading".

Just my 2 cents.

15. I voted "exceeded my expectations"
President Obama is quickly overturning Bush's horrible policies as fast as he can find a pen. I didn't think he'd be this quick, to be honest.

President Obama has challenged whiny Republicans, telling them "I won". He's also chastised them for listening to Limpballs and thinking they can move forward. He's keeping true to the "If you unclench your fist, we'll extend our hand", although I know he meant this for our enemies abroad rather than at home.

He's staffing the Justice Department with Bush's most fiercest critics, and that looks promising for investigations into Bush crimes.

So far, he gets an A+ from me.

20. I wouldn't
I wouldn't give a grade to the president after four days any more than I would expect a teacher to give a grade to a student four days into the school term.

He's doing fine. Period.
