I didn't know if I should change my name - but it was one of those things... I didn't "love" the name but I did identify with it. Most people thought I was male because of it... That is the main reason I changed it.

the little cat-turd is still out - he does this hunting thing at night but it always scares me when he doesn't come home like this. The canyon is loaded with coyotes. But this cat, Spike, is totally freaked out when we try to keep him in. The endless yowling and bugging and racing toward the door when anyone moves is enough to drive us all nuts... and so he is out there.

My mother used to call me Tom-Tom. My sister's first husband, in a whimsical moment, changed that to Tim-Tom.

Years later, I told people about it and many started using it.

In Austin, my friends called me "The Mighty Metaphysical TimTom". It's the juxtaposition of the lofty and pretentious against the incredibly silly.

when i was creating my username my wife argued with me about the spelling: Soilent vs Soylent

She was wrong, and it took 2 yrs for me to get the opportunity to correct it. Needless to say I am actually quite excited about it being changed.

I don't feel so angry anymore now that Obama is President. But I'm still NotGonnaTakeIt if this Administration starts down the same road as the previous one. Though I highly doubt it. Obama is off to a fantastic start and I feverently believe that he means everything he says!!

BTW, "Harry Monroe" was Darnell Turner aka "Crabman"'s previous name under the Witness Protection Program (for those of us who watch "My Name Is Earl" here). Maybe one day we'll find out what his real name is. But I still like cheese, even if my life is in danger because of liking it!!

66. I never really like my old name, it wasn't meaningful, I just had to think of something quick

because I finally wanted to post, after being a lurker for a long time. I went to register and my mind went blank. I chose something generic. And when the chance came to change it, I took it.

Now my username matches my tattoo.

I have a tattoo of the word Coexist and the O is in the form of the Sun Cross or Odin's cross, the oldest cross in existence. It has also been used as the astronomical and astrological sign for earth.
