"Jonas Brothers Surprise First Tweens with White House Visit"
i'm listening to randi on a rerun and she mentioned this--i hadn't heard:

ABC News has learned that after their scavenger hunt last night, First Tweens Malia and Sasha Obama were paid a surprise White House visit by the Jonas Brothers.

The visit came after Malia, Sasha, and some of their friends from their new school Sidwell Friends saw two new Disney movies -- High School Musical 3 and Bolt -- and participated in a scavenger hunt in which they ran around their new home, learning about this history of the White House. White House ushers had organized a similar scavenger hunt for a young Chelsea Clinton when she first moved into the White House in 1993.

At the end of Malia and Sasha's scavenger late-night hunt, they opened a door to discover their favorite musical performers: Kevin, Joe, and Nick Jonas -- the pop boy band sensation who first exploded on the Disney Channel and also appeared earlier this week at the Kids' Inaugural Concert.

1. Hope so. I was thinking about them last night.
It's hard to have parents that work that hard even without all the intrusiveness of the press and public. I hope the good times balance it out for them.

2. i used to have some really killer parties for my daughter and her friends
but to do a scavenger hunt in the white house followed with your favorite boy band (or any popular band) as a hidden surprise? that would be great!

4. My sister rented a hotel room
when the Backstreet Boys were in her town. They met the bodyguard in the elevator, that was as close as they got. lol. I'm going to email my niece and tell her she needs to give her mother a hard time about failing so miserably in the meeting the boy band department.

6. I've been thinking about them a lot.
Live in MD, DC suburb, and lived in DC for 20+ years, daughters have friends who attended Sidwell, so somehow feel close to them. Wondered if they went to school today!
