I have been very vocal in my displeasure at the apparent lack of will to prosecute (war) crimes.
I am also perfectly willing to stand naked on the National Mall and write "I was wrong" one hundred times in the snow .... in yellow.

It now appears there may be some reason to hope they will do that. The more that people come forward with prosecutable evidence and a willingness to testify, the less chance there will be that this can continue to be swept under the carpet.

I remain convinced that, were no whistle blowers to come forward, there would be no will to prosecute. But the call for governmental openness and the charge to err on the side of disclosure may well be the key to allowing us to see justice served.

We already know that Holder has unambiguously stated that water boarding is torture. And we know that both The Dick and his pet man, Little Boots, have copped to knowing about the water boarding and having approved it. I also think they said this thinking no one would prosecute a former president and his pet man .... the final act of ultimate hubris.

There's not a hell of a lot more we need to know.

The ball's in your court, Mr. President.

And read this wonderful definition of 'hubris' from the ol' wiki ......

Hubris (/hjuːbrɪs/) or hybris (/'haɪbrɪs/) (ancient Greek ὕβρις ;), is a term used in modern English to indicate overweening pride, self-confidence, superciliousness, or arrogance, often resulting in fatal retribution. In ancient Greece, hubris referred to actions which, intentionally or not, shamed and humiliated the victim, and frequently the perpetrator as well. It was most evident in the public and private actions of the powerful and rich. The word was also used to describe actions of those who challenged the gods or their laws, especially in Greek tragedy, resulting in the protagonist's downfall.

1. They won't have a choice.
We already had one major whistleblower come out today about spying, and I guarantee there are hundreds if not thousands more where that came from. President Obama will need to start an independent counsel/investigation within 3 months.

8. I have faith in
this President beyond words Please I hope most here will do the same. Give him a bit of time before you're angry. I think he might just surprise everyone and all groups pleasantly. Give him a little time at the very least.
