This was my email to Rush bimbo in response to his comment that he hopes obama "fails". NOT ALL OF WHAT I SAY IS TRUE. Some of it is to be nicer than i would normally be to the man if i didn't want to provoke some sort of response. here it is.
Rush,
You and I may disagree on politics. You and I may disagree on our entire view of the world. You were happy and content with bush and I'm sure you would have voted him into a third term were it possible. When Bush was elected President in 2000 and took office in 2001, i hoped for the best for our new Commander in Chief. I hoped that he would do a good job and that our country would be better off four or eight years down the road. I completely disagreed with his politics and his view but I felt that it was best to wish him well. I opposed the war but I had no lack of patriotism and I hoped for a swift victory for our troops in Iraq. I opposed the occupation but I had no lack of patriotism and I hoped for the safe return home of our brave men and women. Throughout the disastrous administration of George W. Bush, I hoped for the best outcome possible.
Now we have a new president, one that I voted for and am proud to have. As I was when Bush was inaugurated, I hope he does a good job and that we are better off four or eight years from now. If he is not successful as President, I will not vote for him again. But to say that those republicans who have gotten behind our new president saying "I hope he does a good job" have "caved" is, in my view absolutely ludicrous. To say, at the beginning of a possible eight year period of time, "I hope he fails", is disgraceful and un-American. I may not like you, but I never would have pegged you as un-American. I believe that your radio show breeds only hate and fear and I think that if our new president were assassinated you would probably rejoice. If you have any hope of redeeming yourself for your despicable behavior, I suggest that you apologize, if not to Barack Obama, at least to the American people. I believe that an apology is in order for wishing failure and demise upon this country for these things are what you say when you say you hope he fails. If Obama fails WE fail. WE, the people elected Barack Obama and if he fails then so do we. I can only hope you see this and join the rest of the Republicans in getting behind our new president in his time of need as we, the Democrats got behind George Bush in the wake of 9/11. I doubt that you actually read this entire E-mail or even half of it. But if you did, thank you for your time.

But they show their true stripes with their behavior. They don't give a damn about the well being of the country if it's not "their guy" in power. John McCain is walking the walk of his campaign slogan, "Country First." It's a shame that the radical wing of his party is acting in such a disgusting manner. To publicly wish bad things on the American people as a whole, strictly because you want to somehow "prove" that your side of the aisle is right and the other side is wrong. It's petty and childish. I also think it is despicable of conservatives like Limbaugh to continue demonizing Obama when Obama is standing up to the left by stating that he will not prosecute the Bush Administration's alleged war crimes. He keeps claiming it's not about racism, but no matter what Obama does, he receives the utmost contempt from conservatives. I'm left to wonder, "What else could it be?" When you're willing to root against your own country's future in hopes that things keep getting worse, you've sunk to a new low.
