The only fuck-up of the day yesterday - the very important swearing in of the new president - was botched by a repuke. And he's supposedly the smartest one they got.

Is there anything these guys can't screw up?

how it went wrong? It seemed a lot shorter than the VP oath. When Obama repeated, he said what Roberts had said the FIRST time, didn't he? I'm just confused on exactly what happened.

No reason to get physical. I my most charitable of hearts, I think Roberts was thrown when Obama began repeating the oath before Roberts was quite done reciting the first phrase. Roberts didn't have the words in front of him (like he should have), and got all bollixed up. Helpful citizens could provide him with a handy resource for the next time he has to swear in Obama as President of the United States.

Sometimes a botched line is just a botched line.
