Anyone catch Schumer on the Senate debate for SoS confirmation? He questioned Kerry's chairmanship

as if Kerry had no right to lead the debate in the senate - I have never seen anything like this on the senate floor, even from an opposing party. When he was told Kerry was, indeed, chair of SFRC, he proceeded to act like it was his (Schumer's) job to lead debate.

Come on - Schumer was grandstanding for the cameras and using his time ONCE AGAIN to try and diminish Kerry's position in the senate. Some of you may recall Schumer led the fight AGAINST Kerry and Kennedy's filibuster of Alito, with his staffers even attacking Kerry's motives for trying to block Alito. Then a week before 2006 election, a website popped up called heyjohn that questioned Kerry's donations and efforts for 2006 candidates - a site that was eventually traced to a Schumer staffer with the DSCC.

Finally, if Schumer is so inattentive of senate proceedings that he missed the hearings LED last week by Sen. Kerry for the confirmation of SoS position, then maybe he is in the senate for the WRONG REASONS.

13. Kerry wasn't a placeholder, but Dem powerstructure treated him like one and stayed sided with Bush

and even defending Bush publicly on his terrorism and Iraq war decisions - especially Bill Clinton. Hell, even Joe Biden back then said Kerry was wrong for voting against the funding of Iraq war and wouldn't agree with Kerry who was publicly opposing Bush on Iraq invasion.

Kerry worked for a year on his own to UNCOVER IranContra, but was not part of the hearings - Poppy Bush got him blackballed from those hearings claiming he was a zealot to Dem leaders. So Kerry bargained for a new investigation he wanted to start into BCCI. BCCI included IranContra matters, but, it was BCCI report after Kerry's 5 1/2 year investigation that has been the greatest revelation of BushInc - which is why he has never stopped being a target for the DC powerstructure including Dem powerplayers who usually stand with BushInc.

haul off and slug some of the more treacherous asshats on both sides. He's probably the only one in the senate who has been in the situation where he had to kill enemy combatants with his bare hands, yet they often mistake his elegance and civility with weakness - as if any of them would have the integrity and backbone to sustain a 5 1/2 year investigation into the MONSTER that was BCCI.

30. he actually introduced HRC at the hearing in FRONT of Chairman Kerry - this ACT he put on

questioning Kerry's chairmanship is driven by something else, and I believe it's his agenda in the senate which is to always put banking interests first, and it is Kerry who uncovered BCCI's far reaching banking crimes which was also how S&L crisis was uncovered. Many banking crooks would like to see Kerry out of DC, and Schumer will keep trying to make it happen.
