has anybody bought these things? I guess people want a keepsake, but good lord those commercials are lame.

2. Well, this afternoon, Walgreens in Saint Paul

had a big display of the things up near the cash register. No doubt they'll increase in value dramatically very quickly. :sarcasm:

3. "Christmas present from a loved one" That's me *snicker*

It was a totally unexpected gift.

The plate is beautiful and very, very heavy. Mom said there was supposed to be a big and small plate in the order but we wound up getting 2 big ones so Mom has one on display too :rofl:

I didn't spot a Made In China stamp on it, whatever that's worth.

4. The commercials suck, but I might get a plate...

I grew up surrounded by Ike&Mamie plates and that just seems to be the thing to do when you really feel good about a President.
