I was listening to Morning Edition when the story first broke and Senator Grassley claimed that Geither had to sign a statement that he paid the Social Security taxes each year (the IMF paid their share directly to him to pass on to the IRS). Has Grassley brought that up today? For me, this would make a very large difference.

Or was it some tax form that had a statement about that contained within it in section 7, paragraph 6, sub-paragraph 14-b?
That would also make a very large difference, IMO.
