I listened to him, because I think it's sometimes helpful to understand the arguments
against you. I also felt that he was more powerful and influential than most assumed.

I hate every single thing the bastard says. He sickens me. However, the man is talented

I've always said that they only way to make Rush obsolete is by making hate and hate-wing

Besides his abuse of his health, his days of being a radio bloviator will soon come to an end. It won't happen overnight, and he won't go quietly, but go he will. Radio's economic collapse has really hurt hate radio...revenues, which were fair at best...have all but vanished (many companies avoid controversial shows), ontop of both the overall implosion of radio revenues and the station values themselves. Soon stations will go dark...including many of Rushbo's small market affiliates...or go to religious or other money making formats.

The novelty of hate radio has long worn off. If anything, last election was a repudiation of the "genre" as the least acceptable repugnican candidate won their nomination (despite all of the hot air thrown around) and then were a non-factor in the general election (they sure didn't do much to help Sarah Barracuda). The medium's vile drove away all but the most rabid wingnuts and it continues to veer hard right...definitely not attracting any new listeners.
