Prior to 9/11, I was only politically astute enough to know that I followed in the beliefs of my USSW father and faithfully voted straight democratic.

After 9/11, I become obsessed with learning as much as possible about it. After searching the 'net, I found FR and quickly realized that while I completely disagreed with their opinions on EVERYTHING, I found numerous references (none positive - surprise, surprise!) to DU.

A quick google, and I found my new home. I lurked for a long while before deciding to finally join. I'm not a prolific poster, but was proud to make my 1000th post on Nov. 4, 2008.

I wish my BIL Vic were with us. He passed in May, and was a HUGE Obama suporter.
