Trying to improve my credit.
I've already placed disputes on all 3 negative reports on all 3 credit unions. Are they pretty good about fixing the credit scores?

1. Another thing you can do is take out a loan
even at a rotten interest rate and pay it off quickly. Lather, rinse, repeat. Once you've got a history of loans paid off ahead of time, your rating should improve.

It's how I established a credit history in this town, buying used cars and financing half, paying them off early.

4. Just what I was thinking.
Also, you could charge small things on a credit card and pay them off at the end of the month. That worked for me. The only trick is, you have to remember to be disciplined about what you charge and ALWAYS paying the bill IN TOTAL lest you get socked with a massive interest to pay next month.

2. I've found Equifax to be very good, Transunion so-so, and Experian horrible..
you just have to wait for the confirmation to come within 30-45 days and if it doesn't, contact them about it again. It's a long process !

5. Get a low interest credit card and run a small balance on it....

and make sure you make at least the minimum payments for about 2 years or so. DO NOT go beyond use of 25% of your total available credit on credit cards. This will put you in a "sweet spot" and will repair your credit very quickly. It repaired mine.
