I've seen something new on Bush's face this week
PANIC!

Honestly, he always looks dumb and natch the self-congratulatory crap is hard to take given the reality of what he's leaving behind, but damn if he looks nervous as hell.

I wonder if he's realized that people outside the Bush Crime Mob are going to have access to everything. Sure they can try and cover up but when he leaves, he's gone, and he knows something might turn up to fry his ass on the war hoax and torture and....well, EVERYTHING!

I've always thought that if we could find where the famous Niger "evidence" came from. I mean, it was a forgery, that's a known fact, well who forged for it, who ordered it up?

Maybe GWB & Dick can find out first hand what a lovely facility Gitmo is....well, a girl can dream!

1. Paraguay deciding to honor extradition treaties had to be a blow to him
All that money spent on that huge land purchase and the bastards finally decided afterwards to change those laws the Nazi's used to protect themselves.

Bummer.

3. I thought I was seeing a little early-onset dementia.......
then I watched a few of his older videos and I have to agree, it's just the same dumbness with a little fear thrown in. All in all, slightly entertaining after years of stupidity only.

Pretzelbrain has a magic wand called "The Pardon". He can make it all moot.

7. It doesn't work that way.
Without a criminal complaint in existence, there is nothing to pardon. He can't pardon a crime that hasn't yet been shown to exist.

8. Wasn't Ford's pardon of Nixon kind of broad?
I remember the language to be "...offenses committed or may have committed..."?

9. I checked after posting
A blanket pardon around a program is unprecedented, but feasible, according to J. Turley. It could probably be challenged if the Congress had a spine, but considering their complicity...

15. Who do you think could stop him?
And before you answer, please note your source is citing "tradition" and not the Constitution. Constitutionally, there is no such restriction. Like all of the other presumptive powers Bush has grabbed, this also is possible unless he is prevented by the other two branches. What do you think the chances of that are?

17. Wish You Were Correct, But No Such Exclusion in Constitution.
The presidential pardon powers in the Constitution are unlimited, with the exception that a president may not pardon in cases of impeachment". Do you have any legal citations for your assertion? If it were true, Bush would thereby be prevented from pardoning all the top officials in his administration, as he authorized most of their illegal acts.

Edited on Thu Jan-15-09 05:24 PM by truedelphi
And very angry over the loss of life in N.O. or Iraq has more than shoes to throw his way, he might not have anything left to fear. One plastic grenade and he's gone for good.

The President has Secret Service coverage for the rest of his life. I really do not envy anyone on that crew. They know better than anyone that their job requires that they be prepared to die for this asshole.

10. What he needs to 'see'
Every day for the rest of his miserable life, he needs to spend looking at film of the people he has killed. The dead and maimed bodies of children, the severed limbs, the crushed heads.

I think he's actually looked around for once and noticed how much the world hates him, his crimes against humanity and how the entire world will never let him get away with it.

13. That's why I'm going to record him tonight.
This should be, by far, the most entertaining speech he's ever done and I may want to burn it to DVD. If not, I'll have wasted a little time.

20. You have a point there...
I'd like to watch the speech just for the entertainment value too, but I still can't stand to hear his voice or see his face.

I dunno...maybe I can stand it just this once, knowing we'll never have to suffer this fool again...

I suspect he's broken away from his handlers, gone off script and letting it all hang out.

We're now seeing the "real" Dubya in all his shallow, self-serving glory.
