Is George P. Bush a MORON, or what? Why isn't he a RESERVE JAG???
I find it strange that the little fucker is going into Naval Intelligence when he has a law degree. Has he passed the bar yet, or not? Get a load of this shit: http://www.signonsandiego.com/news/military/20070322-0515-bush-navyreserves.html

FORT WORTH, Texas – George P. Bush, the son of former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and nephew of President Bush, has been selected as one of 15 prospective ensigns for the intelligence unit of the Navy reserves.
He and the other members of the Class of 2007 will be sworn in this year, Lt. Cmdr. Bill Schroeder of the Navy Reserve Intelligence Command in Fort Worth said Wednesday. They will go through a two-week officer indoctrination school, a year of Navy basic intelligence training and be assigned to Navy reserve intelligence units close to their homes. ... Bush, a 30-year-old graduate of the University of Texas School of Law, will get no special treatment, he said.

...The 15 were selected in February by a panel of Navy officers who considered their qualifications, skills and education.

(More like a panel of Naval officers who fear not being promoted if they turned the little moron down!!!!)

1. Lawyers aren't supposed to break the law.
INTEL types do it as a matter of routine.

Treason. It's a family tradition.

2. I don't give a rip if he enlists in the merchant marine. It is nobody's business but his own. Why
is this news?

6. Lets go back in our way-back machine, the year 1968
George W. Bush is entering the Texas Air National Guard, this is no news. He never received special treatment, either. We must keep our eyes on the BFEE.

8. Bush's TANG stint would mean nothing if he had never run for prez.
When P-boy Bush runs for prez we can revisit this little event. Until then, it is a waste of bandwidth.

11. We should look at it now because if there was special treatment
It should be exposed now, There is no proof "now" about Chimps special treatment in TANG because no-one "reported" it back then, and they later destroyed all the evidence. We are dealing with the BFEE not P-boy , like the chimp he doesn't know what they have planned for him.

12. I would agree if I thought there was ANY chance that p-boy Bush would ever amount to anything on the
national scene. But I don't think there is. Even if there had been, it is now gone since Uncle George stunk up the joint. That goes for Jebbie too. Deep in his heart of hearts, Jebbie must wonder what might have been had he not been so "helpful" to brother George in 2000. Gore would be finishing up his second term and Jebbie would be collecting the big money Republican endorsements for a run at the WH in 2008. Think about it.

13. No one ever thought Chimpy would get as far as he did.
We can't take that chance with any of the Royaly. I know if we had 2 terms of Gore things would be different. and the Repukes would be in full attack mode for 2008. I do know that crimes of the BFEE have gone ignored and forgotten for generations, we have to shine some light on these Cockroachs.

16. It's a new day. Bush Jr. happened. There is no going back. The Bush well is poisoned
as far as national politics is concerned.

14. A rumor persists that, if the GOP head heathens can't get enthused about the current crop of
candidates, and IF a majority does not magically appear for one candidate in advance of the GOP convention, that a DRAFT JEB effort WILL be mounted at the convention, and there are people 'standing by' to make it happen.

I know, the thought is sickening. But it IS out there.

15. Yes I have heard that one and keep hoping it is true. I don't think people will realise the amount
of "Bush revulsion" which has built up in this country unless there is another Bush on a national ticket.

18. I'd worry, though. JEB is waaaaay more personable than his brother.
And he speaks genuinely fluent Spanish. If he disavowed his brother, and disagreed with him publicly, and got Poppy (assuming Poppy is still kicking) up there with a GENUINE smile on his face (because we all know it shoulda been JEB in the FIRST place) it could be iffy.

Never underestimate (or misunderestimate, if you're a Bush) the gullibility of the American public. Ole Fatso Jeb can charm like mad.

I'd only hope his youngest son would continue his resisting arrest/cop spitting ways, and Noelle kept acting up--that would put a damper on the idea. But if he locks those two up in a tower somewhere, so they can't cause trouble, hell, who knows what might happen?

It wouldn't be an easy road for Jebbie, I do agree. But hell, with Diebold on their side, it could be easier on paper(less) than we think....

7. Why is he a moron for signing up for Navy Intel?
Just because he's a law school grad doesn't mean he has to go JAG. Paul Hackett from Ohio had a law degree and he wasn't JAG either.

17. You'd think he'd take the path of least resistance. Of course, if he hasn't passed the bar,
he's not eligible to be a JAG.

Hackett is a totally different deal. USMC JAG is a tiny community, they all know each other, and openings are scarce. As USMC is a subset of the Department of the Navy, oftentimes USMC uses USN lawyers, particularly for assigned defense attorneys (recall A FEW GOOD MEN, e.g.).

Hackett likely wanted to go USMC more than he wanted to be a military lawyer, and there were no openings in the Marine Corps JAG.

rather than having to find out years later. :P
