3. Right.
So we need to get BOTH the remaining moderate Republicans (that would be the two ladies in Maine) to vote with us as much as possible, so Unholy Joe doesn't think he owns us.

14. Hell, we're in enough trouble just counting on
Liberman, Landrieu, the Nelson twins, etc. (i.e. the usual DLC suspects who vote with the party less than half the time as it is)

6. What we need is a new Senate majority leader with a spine
and a new Speaker of the House as well.

Out with these damned enablers. I want to see some fighters in there.

9. Amen -- especially Reid HAS TO GO!
He may have been OK as minority leader but now that
we have the majority, we need someone who's willing
to truly LEAD, and to kick some a** when it's required.

10. BUT.. we "actually only have" 53
Edited on Mon Jan-05-09 07:49 PM by SoCalDem
Clinton will avoid voting on anything of substance before her hearings, as will Biden, and neither of them have given up their seats, so there are two votes we probably won't "have"

and can we count on Joementum?..if not, we're down to 52

When we have Obama's replacement, Hillary's & Joe Biden's AND Franken, we will have 57 +1 + Joementum

11. Yep. I forgot about Clinton and Biden. I would not count on Lieberman. 58 is the
best we can hope for.

13. I'm looking for the r's to filibuster every Obama appointment to stop his administration from
moving forward. The r's have the numbers to stop everything.
