Grocery Chains to Offer FREE Antibiotics (Northeast and Mid-Atlantic states)
http://www.consumerworld.org/

If you live in the Northeast or Mid-Atlantic states, you are in luck this winter because Stop & Shop and Giant Food are both offering free prescriptions of antibiotics. Until March 21, you get can up to a 14-day supply of 36 different generic antibiotic formulations free (with a prescription, of course). Here is the list of covered drugs . Maybe stores in other parts of the country will adopt a similar program.

See the link for links to the programs and the list of covered drugs.

please rec this so it can stay up for others to see.

2. I hope that no doctors will prescribe any more antibiotics because of this
but I fear they will. If they do, it adds to bacterial immunity to antibiotics.

3. that is a possibility
But for all those folks out of work they are more likely to NOT fill prescriptions due to cost. This is an aid for them.

4. Ours in Michigan already do.
Meijers, Walmart, Target, and I think a couple of others already do. Meijers also does free prenatal vitamin prescriptions. I thought it was a national thing, since it's so big here.

5. Is that because their food is so contaminated that
you need antibiotics after eating it? With the Bushies in charge of the FDA it wouldn't surprise me one bit.
