A.P.: Adding Leap Second May Invalidate Election 2008!
Pausing from their guffaw-filled listening to "Barack the Magic Negro", the Republican Party has filed a Brief with the Supreme Court of the United States claiming that the extra second was not allotted in the conventional countdown to the Inauguration. Many Left-wingers, they state, wear buttons counting down the months, days, hours, minutes, and seconds until President Bush is to leave office and since the timing has been altered, Senator McCain and Governor Palin had not taken this into account, and thus were operating a a disadvantage.

The suit was brought for the Party by two individuals: Joe Watkins of Philadelphia, and Ron Christie, currently inhabiting Wills Eye Hospital due to a well-known condition, also in Philadelphia. Justices Scalia, Thomas, and Roberts have stated their 'great enthusiasm' for the hearing of this case which will occur in an emergency session of the Court on Friday, January 2, 2009 at precisely 10:00 A.M. EST.

In a possibly- related story, the trade unions building the Inaugural Platform in Washington, D.C. have been ordered to 'stand down' and await further word.

:sarcasm:

8. Poor Ron
to the tune of "Bette Davis Eyes"...

He's Got the Ron Christie Eye

His hair is close-cut black
His lips do nothing but lie
He's got a Ron Christie eye
He'll squint his eye and go
You won't have to think twice
He's pure as Republican snow
He got the Ron Christie eye

And he'll tease you
He'll unease you
All the better just to fleece you
He's obnoxious and he knows just
What it takes to make a pro blush
He got Greta Garbo stand off sighs
He's got a Ron Christie eye

He'll let you have him on
It whets his appetite
He'll play you on the phone
He got a Ron Christie eye

4. George W. Bush therefore has more than two terms
He gets two terms and one second, therefore the Constitution is abrogated, and Bush can declare himself President for Life! Briefs have been filed with the Supreme Court, and Justice Clarence "Slappy" Thomas has recommended that the full court consider this new, hare-brained argument by desperate right-wingers.

Man, I just didn't want 2008 to last one second longer than it had to.

Actually, I can imagine this had to go through a Con's mind. Anything but losing. Haha.
