One important change that will take place under the Obama administration...
...the breaking of the celebrity culture in these here U.S. of A. For too long the general population has been held in the grip of the ennui and puerile of celebrity pop-culture. This grip has been used by the Two Shoes/Shitstain administration (as orchestrated by non-college graduate Asswipe KKKarl Rove - hey, Asswipe KKKarl, have you measured those bars yet for...whatever? (but I digress)) to distract the citizenry. To whit:

1. Two Shoes clears brush, news at 11.
2. Shitstain goes fishing, news at 11.
3. Two Shoes shows dance moves, news at 11.

With President Barack Obama we will be treated to subjects that are weighty and concern us more in the long run than what kind of corn chip Two Shoes choked on. With the breaking of the press addiction to bullshit, the rest of the Change Agenda can begin to fall into place, and, maybe, just maybe, we will be able to elevate the populace above the "dumbing" of the last 30 years.

1. The corporate media will treat us to an endless discussion
of what Michelle Obama wore at the inauguration, endless comparisons of Michelle Obama with Jackie O (I am so over the Kennedys!). We will also hear about whatever outfit Michelle Obama chooses to wear to any function.

Oy vey!! With the women it's not about what is in their heads but what is on their body.

6. Hopefully this will be relegated to the snarky Style section....
...and left off the front page.

10. It's so insulting.
Michelle is hot, but it's not the important thing about her.

ER: How far we have not come...

2. You're giving the m$m way too much credit in this equation.
They will still be 'treating' us to stories that they think we want to hear or, more likely are easy to report and take no effort to do so. Case in point, Greenwald's blog from yesterday. Look at what rose to the top as big stories for 08 according to politico:

7. But since the Obama administration....
...will not be pandering to the lowest common denominator then the media will be forced to report the serious as opposed to the puerile.

5. He's already being treated as a celebrity.
Anybody remember the stories about the dog selection? The "shirtless" story now being circulated?

11. It's generally worked in his favor. People liked voting for a 'cool' guy, as if Will Smith or Tiger
Woods were running.

Thank goodness he's got the stuff to do the job well.

8. We have the most malevolent, cunning propaganda apparatus in place
with our corporate media.

They will do their best to destroy Obama and install another shitstain profiteer.

12. It will be The Hunting of the President all over again.
They will try to create shit where there isn't any.

9. MSM will give us news, but it will be as negative as possible against Obama.
They will only go back to silly fishing stories once they get the next shrub in the White House. Jeb's ready to take the senate seat in Florida, and it looks like the media is happily excited about the prospect.
