Michigan and Rhode Island only states to lose population
"The nation's great migration south and west is slowing, thanks to a housing crisis that is making it hard for many to move.

Only two states — Michigan and Rhode Island — lost population from 2007 to 2008, according to the new estimates. But growth rates fell in many states, even for those that had been adding residents at a rapid clip."

2. I've thought about moving since I haven't been able to find a job
but I'm not sure I would have any better luck elsewhere. Plus, there's no where I really want to move to so I'll try to stick it out here :)

4. As Utah is conservative and religious, maybe this trend is a good thing.

5. I'm not so sure it's a good thing
My state is losing population, so from my perspective it's a bad trend. But trends change and will change again (hopefully to our favor).

6. You can not believe any statistic coming out of Washington
Even if they appear to be true don't believe any numbers you see coming from Washington. The next Census is in 2010, and Bill Richardson will be in charge. This time around people will be counted and we'll know where who is.
