During the presidential campaign what one thing stuck out as being really funny?
For me it was the Tina Fey/John McCain QVC segment on Saturday Night Live. I get tickled every time I think about it.

Here is the transcript of the funniest part:

The transcript of the opening sketch of the Nov. 1 "Saturday Night Live," courtesy of NBC:

SEN. JOHN McCAIN: "Good evening, my fellow Americans, I'm John McCain."

TINA FEY AS GOV. SARAH PALIN: "And, you know, I'm just Sarah Palin."

McCAIN: "The final days of any election are the most essential. This past Wednesday, Barack Obama purchased airtime on three major networks. We, however, can only afford QVC."

FEY AS PALIN: "These campaigns sure are expensive." (SHE strokes the rich fabric of her jacket's lapel)

McCAIN: "They sure are.
So tonight, we come before you to give you some final remarks on our campaign."

Here is the vieo of it:

that was really a school that was supposed to be a hospital.

That's when I knew for sure McCain would totally lose.

3. The Democrats and progressives who thought McCain had a chance
It got almost risible, especially so on election night. After Pennsylvania and Ohio had gone for Obama, they were still worried, egged on by the "geniuses" at the popular media outlets. There was an annoying facet to it, but eventually I found it amusing.

6. John McCain calling Obama "That One"
and all the articles after that debate describing the way he shuffled aimlessly around the stage while Obama was speaking. Both hilarious because McCain was so laughably pathetic.

Also, the picture of McCain sticking his tongue out and lurching across the stage at the third debate.
