I have been a member of Moveon for several years because they opposed the War in Iraq. I really appreciate the work they've done. Recently, they polled members to set new goals. I found the poll unmanageable, too many goals, too many ideas repetitive. I gave up about half-way through trying to "rate" the agenda. All of the new goals are commendable, of course.
Now, they have announced the new priorities--health care, environment, economy, and then war in Iraq.
I believe that this agenda is too broad. I believe that they should stick to their original, more-narrow goal which was directed toward ending the war in Iraq, but should include lessening the militaristic agenda under which we have been operating. Our military activities have sucked the life out of all of the other goals, environment, health care, economy, etc.
So where do those of us who want to prioritize a more peaceful world go now?
