1. Is she nuts?
Yes.

This has been another edition of short answers to obvious questions.

9. How could she NOT?
The press follows the guy everywhere... what does he say "Oh, please - pay no attention to the paparazzi in the car behind us.. i used to be a uhh... world famous uhh.. soccer star.. yeah, that's it".

If the girl has ever watched a news program, she knows who he is.

She's most likely one of those very defiant self destructive types who thrives off of doing something dangerous after people to tell her not to. "Don't touch the hot stove"... "OWWWWW". "Don't go out without your coat".. "Crap, i'm cold". "Don't date the Serial Killer".. "Ohh.. he loves me.. crap, i'm dead too".

They are a dime a dozen.. and frankly sometimes you can't save people from themselves. OJ got dates after 1994 too.. some women just never learn.

13. His attorney says the new fiance lives within 15 minutes of Peterson's home.
I'm all for "innocent until proven guilty" but even as naive as _I_ was at 23, I would not have involved myself with a man suspected of killing two wives.

10. Fox News: Drew Peterson Engaged Though Still Married to Missing Wife
Drew Peterson Engaged Though Still Married to Missing Wife
The former police officer who is a suspect in the disappearance of his fourth wife and whose third wife died suspiciously in a bathtub plans to walk down the aisle for a fifth time

<snip>

"The kids have met her," Armstrong told FOXNews.com. "They like her and they know about this engagement."

<snip>

A sticking point for Peterson is his current marriage. Earlier this year, he met with divorce attorney Jeffery Leving to see what his rights to a split might be.

"This is not uncommon for Drew," Selig told FOXNews.com. "When he was married to Kathleen still, he was in the process of divorcing Kathleen when he proposed to Stacy. He’s done this before and, you know, he seems very happy."

20. He's Been A "Chick Magnet"
I have no real opinions in this case...primarily since there still isn't a body or sufficient forensic evidence to nail the dude and thus I still like to subscribe to the unique concept of innocent until proven guilty...especially someone whose been tried by the media.

There have been various reports over the years of Peterson dating a lot...IRC, he even was part of a radio stunt...and the phones rang off the hooks. I have several friends who live in the area who think Peterson's being framed...some of it involving byzantine local politics (think Palin and Troopergate) and a local media that not only hated Peterson (he made them look like fools) but wanted badly for this to be a real scandalous story and ran roughshod around the town trying to dig whatever dirt they could...it really pissed people off.

From one whose still trying to get his 26 year "starter marriage" right, the thought of being with a 4-time loser is red flag enough, but its not as though this guy's past or reputation is some hidden secret.

33. Suspect cop says he's engaged to be married
CHICAGO (AP) -- A publicist for the former Illinois police sergeant suspected in the disappearance of his wife says the ex-officer is engaged to be married again.

Publicist Glenn Selig (SEH'-lig) says 54-year-old Drew Peterson proposed within the last week after dating the woman for about four months.

Selig says the woman is 23 - the same age as Stacy Peterson when she disappeared in October 2007.

Illinois state police call Peterson a suspect in the disappearance of his wife but no charges have been filed against the former officer from the Chicago suburb of Bolingbrook
