Vice President-elect Joe Biden briefed on prevention of WMD and Terrorism

On Wednesday December 3rd, 2008, Vice President-elect Joe Biden was briefed by the Commission on the Prevention of Weapons of Mass Destruction Proliferation and Terrorism, led by former Senators Bob Graham of Florida and Jim Talent of Missouri.

The Vice President-elect was joined at the meeting by Arizona Governor Janet Napolitano, who President-elect Obama will nominate as Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security.

The bipartisan commission was mandated by Congress to assess, on an urgent basis, the United States’ efforts to prevent the spread of terrorist groups.

I am haunted by a pre-election press-release by Bin Laden, which endorsed the Democratic Party. An endorsement like that clearly indicates that he wants Republicans in office because they are more likely to escalate the Iraq War - a primary recruiting tool for organizations like al-Qaeda.

Does anyone else suspect that foreign terrorist crossed our mostly unprotected borders and are waiting for Democrats to control the White House before conducting attacks?

2. Foreign 'terrorists' care very little who is elected.

I highly doubt the will act or not act based on who we vote for. They will try to achieve their political goals regardless of who is in power. I don't doubt that someone will attempt something, but it is not because we will have a Dem in the WH, rather in spite of it.

Good-ole boys. Local boys, they may be more likely to act on a violent urge with a black President. But, I doubt it has much to do with party. Likely, it would be solely on race.
