11. Jamaica is gorgeous, period!
I was just telling our CFO about it... he just left for a wedding there. It's been a while, but I remember very happy, generous, and kind people. Even those who live in poorer areas have a lot of pride... and all the freshly painted homes. Please tell me it's still wonderful.

17. Given the state of the economy, our
phenomenal murder rate and the disgusting developments of mega-hotels on our coast, the beauty is disappearing with tasteless haste. Still there are few scenes more beautiful than those blue mountains with a full moon rising above them.

21. That breaks my heart...
The mega hotels alone must surely be a disgusting blight. What's the deal with the murder rate? Just bad times in general?

I paid $20 for two lbs yesterday. The joys :D
My Miami sister mixes a nice Jamaican blend she gets at Cosco with the pure BM I take for her.
It's pretty good and I'm a purist. That's the one expense we're not giving up.

add.

It's one of our rare overcast nites, at least here in the Valley; they usually only occur when a meteor shower is expected.

Earth set for full moon close-up
Full moon over San Francisco
The moon will appear high in the night sky

A full moon is set to occur closer to the Earth on Friday evening than it has done for the past 15 years.

The Moon's elliptical orbit means its distance from the Earth is not constant.

It will be a little over 350,000km away as it passes over the northern hemisphere, which is about 30,000km closer than usual.

If the sky is clear it will appear brighter and larger than usual, say astronomers.

went behind some clouds that were just above the horizon..just enough space to see the whole moon before it started to disappear again.
