DU this poll re: Is Limbaugh relevant?
Do you agree with Schwarzenegger that Limpy is irrelevant? Currently 83% say YES! It is mind over matter, ya fat fuck. We don\'t mind because you don\'t matter.

1. What's a "Limbaugh?"
What might it be relevant to, if it were to be relevant to something?

7. I disagree
If you are making a list of the most important political thinkers of the past 30 years (and I am using thinker in a very broad sense) you have to put Limbaugh on that list. His way of looking at politics, mean spirited, nasty, hateful though it is, is, if not dominant, certainly a major strain of (or stain on) modern Conservativism. There's a reason Cheney and Bush go on his show.

Without Limbaugh would we have a Bush today?

32. That's a good observation
Regardless of his politics, the fact that he draws the listenership that he does merits him as relevant. Not to mention the influence he seems to have on right-wing politics/politicans.

8. Actually I would argue that Limbaugh is very relevant..
He is the poster child for the sickness of the neo cons...

I would like to see his more extreme statements, which he constantly utters, piped into every home in America.

31. Why would you want that? You'll get more dittoheads!
I don't get it when people say that "so-and-so should be given more coverage", as if somehow it will expose him. Limbaugh is already exposed! He gets enough coverage as it is, and look at what damage has been done by him because of the exposure he has. Pipe him into every home in America, and we'll have more freepers than we do now. That's how his species reporduces.

36. I disagree..
His making fun of Michael J Fox hurt the Republicans.

There are a lot of things he says that will outrage those who aren't already committed Busheviks.

23. The white-knuckled male drivers
hunched over the steering wheel (no woman in sight) with anger seeping through every pore. They hate women, gays, minorities, immigrants (legal and not), intellectuals, environmentalists, educated people, and any religion other than their own.
And they listen to AM radio and Rush and any other loud-talker out there who will help them at least feel rage. Cause that's all they feel these days. Rage. It's their fuel.

33. I'm on the road a lot here in NM,
I can pick up AA in Albuquerque perfectly, Santa Fe it changes to a different station, and I can usually pick up the signal off and on throughout most of Northern NM. Southern NM the signal is GONE 30 miles outside Albuquerque.

Santa Fe and Albuquerque must be receiving it from different translators because the programing is not the same. Randi is on in the late morning/early afternoon in Santa Fe, but not until 4:00 in Albuquerque. Ed schultz is on instead of Al Franken, 10:00 - 1:00 in Albuquerque, don't really care much for Ed Schultz on most days, but I have to admit I never got Al Franken, I think he was annoying at best. I never heard Tom Hartman before the programming changes but he is on in Albuquerque from 1:00 to 4:00 and I have to say he is my favorite on AA.
