7. The Republicans made sure with Clinton that the president would not be exempt from

any sort of examinaation, and neither would his aides or his Secret Service detail. They put in place precedents that will harm their guy, and they are putting in place precedents and laws that will give a Democratic president powers they are not going to want a Dem to have. Of course, they had THE math, so it never occurred to them that a Republican president would ever have to face a Democratic Congress, or that there would ever again be a Democratic president.
