Now on CNN - a fascinating program I saw part of last week.
It's called America's Killer Diet.

The most interesting part to me was about the Omega 3 and 6 oils and their role in depression.

1. I can't believe CNN would air such a thing... Dr. Gupta has
never mentioned it to my knowledge.

4. Omega threes and depression... or anything natural at all that has
positive effects against "disease".

5. There was an emphasis on home-cooked "real" food.
It even featured the doctor from Public Citizen!

6. The part about the oils and fats
showed how our intake of soybean oil (omega 6) has seen a "radical shift" to the upside, which makes the ratio of omega 6 to omega 3s all out of whack.

He even mentioned the use of high fructose corn syrup.

I know. I was pretty surprised, too.

10. That ratio has a direct effect on the body's ability to halt the
inflammatory process when it it time to do so.

3. I've read alot about "the good fats" (essential oils) and the topic
is fascinating. I'll try to see if I can catch this show when it's on again.

One book I read is "Eat Fat, Lose Weight" by Gittleman.
