I like "socialized medicine" simply and solely because it makes heads explode. I also know it is a misnomer and not the same thing at all.

10. MSI, Medical Security Insurance

Get people to think of social security and how it functions, and then tell them the medical bills will be paid the same as their social security check. MSI just pays the bills, they don't direct your health care any more than social security directs your retirement.

20. That would actually be pretty good.. It would just appear on your pay

stub as another fee they take out before you get the actual pay. You get a card and you get to go where you want and access all your needs... Sounds ok to me.. AND if your out of work or laid off.. they can switch you over to the medicare side.. because that's the one you use when your not paying into the system.. Sounds pretty good. I think children and retirees would be in medicare side, while adults would be on the Medical Security Side.. and the funds would cover the entire Universal Healthcare System. AND employers would have to pay a fee for each employee based on size and the money they make.

30. It's not Socialized because the government doesn't own or operate the means of health care

production.

Private commercial or not-for-profit entitities still provide the health care. The government administers the insurance that pays for the health care in order to achieve cost efficiencies. It would be good if the name reflected those cost efficiencies PLUS the paradigm shift away from the strictly medical model toward a HEALTH model.
